Research areas:
The Geothermal Laboratory is a centre of geothermal and ecological education. Presented are not only geothermal installations, but also other, environmentally friendly, technological solutions ranging from energy-saving building features and construction methods, environmentally friendly systems and equipment for water heating including heat pumps, photovoltaic batteries, and a system for optimisation of a wind power station. Regarding ecological education, there are organised meetings with different groups of recipients primarily representatives of the local government and university students. Since 1999, meetings have also been held with primary school student groups.
